I have enjoyed millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost a lot of money at blackjack. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to defeat the game.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a type of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this method or defeat the house, nonetheless you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that 21 seems to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the table minimum on the next hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets very exciting on occasion. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had great streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a couple of years back with $750 after 35 minutes using this method! And a number of days ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness betting this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a $5 game.
Wager five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $5 wager
Wager five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager
Bet 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first twenty dollar wager
Bet twenty dollar
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total wager of $40
Bet 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $40 bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 1 hundred and 60 dollar bet
If you left at this instance you would be up three hundred and 15 dollars !!
It’s herculean to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
