I have enjoyed countless of hands of 21. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have wagered on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of cash at twenty-one. The gambling dens have made it nearly impossible to defeat the game.
I still like the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this method or beat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that blackjack seems to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Once I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very thrilling sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a number of years back with $750 after 35 minutes using this tactic! And a few weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar game.
Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the first five dollar wager
Wager 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $10 wager
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the first $20 wager
Wager twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Wager 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 40 dollar bet
Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Bet $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager
Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the first one hundred and 60 dollar wager
If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!
It’s hard to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you must NOT alter and drop your bet or the end result will not be the same.
